Create your own Spanish Learning Materials with AI for FREE (Top SECRET)

We’ll show you how, because Spanish learning with AI isn’t the thing of the future anymore.

Spring Spanish teacher Maura will explain everything. Let’s start with step number 1!

1. Create your own story with AI

This is what we want from AI:

  • Crear nuestra propia historia en español. (Create our own story in Spanish.)

Why?

Because it’s always more fun to learn with an engaging story. That’s also the reason why our Spanish course is an engaging and fun radionovela.

  • Incluir chunks que estemos practicando. (Include chunks that we are practicing.)
  • Traducir la historia. (Translate the story.)
  • Narración en español. (Spanish narration.): this means having AI Text-To-Speech read it for you so you can do some listening.

How to prompt ChatGPT to create your own personalized story:

There are many, many ways to use ChatGPT to support you in your Spanish journey. Here’s a video we made about it where we show you this in depth.

I want you to create a story for me. Here are the prompts: make the story in intermediate level Spanish. Between 500 and 700 words. Please include the following chunks: “al menos”, “por cierto” y “de ninguna manera” (at least, by the way and no way.)

Please highlight “al menos”, “por cierto” y “de ninguna manera” (at least, by the way and no way) in that story and translate them to English for me.

As you can see it can very quickly write an entire customized story for you. This way, you can take ownership of the material you consume by determining exactly what that material contains.

It’s wonderful to practice specific chunks within new contexts, comparing translations and practice reading. All before you even add the voices.

You can, of course, play around with it giving it more prompts like):

  • Cambiar el tema de la historia. (Changing the subject of the story.)
  • Añadirle nuevos chunks (Add new chunks to it.)
(Translate specific words you don’t understand very well.)
(Provide alternatives for new chunks you can identify.)

Or try artistic prompts to alter the story like:

  • Please make the story happen at the beach. Or change the main character for a little girl.

(Do not hesitate to try everything you can think of.)

Using text-to-speech for the voices

Just so you know, we did an entire video solely focused on how to use text-to-speech when it comes to studying Spanish.

You can check it out right here:

MAURA
(ChatGPT is going to include text-to-speech in the future. For now there are subscription platforms like speechify that work great.)
Vamos a ver.
(I am using the free trial version. Let’s see.)

SPEECHIFY

Even the free trial allows you to paste texts from other sources and gives you a bunch of options for the voices. You have different genders and even different accents from different countries to choose from. I can attest these sound quite native and clear.

Which is why using this can help you practice listening and pronunciation of material created by you with a lot of ease.

We did some researching and there’s this AI engine called story.com where you can both create the story and get a voice to narrate it for you.

All in the same place.

Incluso incluye imágenes para facilitar tu comprensión. (It also includes images to make it easier to understand.)

I want you to create a story for me. Here are the prompts: make the story in intermediate level Spanish. Between 500 and 700 words. Please include the following: “al menos”, “por cierto” y “de ninguna manera” (at least, by the way and no way.)

The amount of options this offers to customize your story is crazy. For Spanish, though, I couldn’t find native voices so that might be something to take into consideration in case you’d like to try it.

(We have our own courses, of course. But we want our viewers to have the best result in the shortest amount of time possible.)

(That’s why today we are sharing these secrets with you guys.)

Our radionovela course, which is already a super engaging story, with highlighted chunks and native speakers doing the voices, is meant to empower you in your Spanish journey.

Helping you create your own materials through AI is just another version of us empowering you.

2. Create your own dialogues

Dialogues are, for us, the best way to learn languages.

Essentially because they are a direct reflection of how native speakers communicate and interact.

Also because they always have a clear context and all that helps a lot with creating powerful associations.

How to prompt Chat GPT to create your own personalized dialogues:

MAURA
I want you to create a dialogue for me. Between 300 and 400 words. Please include the following: “quiero renunciar”, “salimos temprano” y “me llevo bien” (I want to quit, we leave early and I get along well.)

Do you feel empowered or you don’t feel empowered? These techniques are awesome but specially when you’re trying to practice very specific parts of the language.

And you can do it all on your own!
